Observations&Reflections #5
Yesterday I was in the shopping centre and there were a lot of bills showing an upcoming show of the famous circus. They were encouraging people to come by telling about "amazing and breathtaking" lions and goats performance. I realized how cruel is getting rich at the cost of animals peaceful life.
Not only lions and goats suffer in the circus. There are plenty of animals such as camels and elephants, which have to spend most of their life in cages, training or shows. Performing in circus also affects their comfort - animals are stressed and feel uncomfortable. It isn't their natural habitat where they have a wide open area to run and socialize with others.
I would never go to a show with an even breathtaking show of lion because there is no entertainment in watching poor animals which are forced to do tricks and make other people happy.

I agree with you, I see no entertainment in watching animals being abused. A circus show doesn't have to include elephants or lions to be spectacular.
OdpowiedzUsuńWe use animals enough in other areas - for food, for clothing, for transport - some of which are also questionable. Using animals for entertainment is evidence of people's perverted and cruel conviction that we rule the world, the kind of thinking that has brought about the destruction of our planet.
