A charming city Berlin is located in the north-east Germany. It's a cosmopolitan city packed with shops, museums and cafes. One of third Berlin's area consists of parks, lakes and forests. It is very interesting that the capital of Germany has more bridges than even Venice - it has around 1700 of them! Also, the number of museums is breathtaking, there are over 180! The Berlin Wall This long boundary was built in 1961. Apparently, it was constructed to protect the east society against the west citizens. But actually, the real reason was that they wanted to stop emigration people from east to west part of the city. In 1989 because of revolutions nearly Germany, the east government allowed citizens to cross the countries borders. In short of Madrid The capital of Spain is located in the centre of the Iberian Peninsula. The surrounding includes small hills and natural parks. It is the biggest city, where live around three million people. The city is known for the nightlife, inhabitants prefer going to a night party or watching football match outside in late hours. Official Symbol of Madrid Spain's capital has a specific and significant symbol, which is The Bear and The Strawberry Tree. The monument is settled in the central square, La Puerta del Sol. There are many theories why they are the representative figures in Madrid. Restaurant Botin The restaurant has been opened in 1725 and it is the oldest one in the world. Few words about Athens The historical capital of Europe is located in Attica, Greece. It's the main town in the Greek nation. This one of the oldest cities in the world has a huge history, run into thousands of years. At first, Athens was a small nation, Mycaelen community. Then it becomes a real city, the proud of Greece. Meaning of the name - Athens According to the myths, one day Poseidon and Athena were taking part in a name competition. Each of them could give a gift. Zeus' brother hit the rock using his attribute, trident and made a water source. The idea of Poseidon was not as successful as his opponent. In next turn, Athen planted a seed in the ground. The location  Crete is the largest island in Greece. It's found in the Mediterranean Sea. The island is rich in a charming culture and an engaging history. Crete is known for rocky spots, which are surrounded by beautiful mountains. The capital of Crete Heraklion is the biggest and most populated city in Crete. It's settled in the central-north of the island. The city was the central area where the Minoa civilization grew. Where is Malta located? It is settled in the centre of the Meditteranean Sea. This little country includes three islands, which are Malta, Gozo and Comino. Compare Malta to my capital city, Warsaw the area is almost the same so it shows how small is this nation. The capital city Valetta is a beautiful city and World Heritage site consists in large part of buildings from 16th century. Because of its reach cultural tradition, it is named The capital of Culture 2018. This eminent title was chosen by the European Union.  Azure Window It was one of the most well-known places in Gozo island, which had unfortunately destroyed and fallen into the Meditteranean Sea. Few words about Barcelona Barcelona is the city found in the Catalonia Region in Spain. The capital of Catalonia is located on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian peninsula. The city of Gaudi For me, Barcelona has always been the most interesting city. One of the reason is beautiful architecture designed by Gaudi. The Catalonian artist's created incredible and unique works of art which are well-known around the world. The most recognized construction is Sagrada Familie, which is still the unfinished cathedral. Location of London The capital city of England is settled in the south-east of the Island of Great Britain. London is a port on the Thames River, which has 210 miles long. Underground in London Even if London is the biggest city in England and one of the biggest cities in Europe, communication in this town is really easy, because of the expanded rail network. In short of Paris Paris is a beautiful and romantic capital city of France. It is settled in the north-central part of the country, on both banks of Seine River. Paris is one of Europe's largest metropolitan area, which is the well-known city of love, inspiration, and fashion. The Iron Lady The most famous and recognized monument in Paris and also in the whole country is Eiffel Tower. The worldwide known symbol of France was built in 1889 by Gustave Eiffel's company for the Universal Exhibition, commemorating the centennial of the French Revolution. It has 324 meters tall. Rome- the city on seven hills And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven   mountains , on which the woman sitteth - i t's the passage of Revelation describing the capital city of Italy situated on seven hills. The mountains are  located east of the Tiber. They all played important roles in cult and mythology.  In ancient times, hills were religious high places, used to worship and offer sacrifices to gods. The beginnings of Rome The legend of the founding of Rome includes brothers, Romulus and Remus. The twins were orphaned in childhood and nursed by a wolf until a shepherd found them. When brothers grew up, they found the city, but a fight led to Romulus killing Remus and becoming the single leader of Rome.
